Hello friends,

I want to share a little bit about myself with you, and how KIMAMEYER PHOTOGRAPHY came to be. I have always enjoyed photography & I have captured a lot of memories over the years. Everyone who knows me would tell you that I always have a camera with me ready for that perfect opportunity or photograph.

I became serious about my photography in 2008 when I started taking classes with a top Italian professional photographer Domineco Vassallo who specialized in shooting fashion models in Grotte Italy. He opened up a whole new world to me. I had never thought about becoming a professional photographer until I took his classes, sadly he passed July 2017. Once the door was opened to this wonderful world of photography I was off and running. Eager to broaden my horizons, I started taking classes at KC Photography in Lebanon Ohio, At Red Door Photography in Bellevue KY
, and at Ritz (Nikon) Camera Classes. In addition I attended the “After Dark Education Convention” (truly a professional learning experience). I also have learned a great deal at local “hands-on” meet-ups and “spot classes” sponsored by such organizations as NKY-Wedding-Fashion-and-Portrait-Photography, Glamour-Photography-Club of Greater Cincinnati, the Smug Mug Camera Club, Cincinnati Camera and Photography Club and The Ohio Valley Camera Club all of which I am a member. I also stay up-to-date on the latest photography software programs such as Photoshop CS Cloud, Lightroom Classic Cloud, OnOne and Portrait Professional.

Learning is a never ending process and as you can see I continue to study and learn photography on an almost daily basis. Those of you whom have drunk from the fountain of knowledge know of the unquenchable thirst I have for expanding my photography skills.

My favorite aspect of photography is capturing those special moments so that they become irreplaceable treasured memories that last a lifetime. I also love meeting people and being part of their most intimate and special occasions.

Photography has given me a great deal and I enjoy giving back by to my community by donating my photography when I feel it’s needed. I may do this by offering my services to a mother that isn’t able to afford pictures of her newborn baby, or by shooting a Cystic Fibrosis Event, designed to raise awareness of this terrible disease. The time and effort spent at these endeavors has been more than paid back by the wonderful people I meet and the learning that takes place. I feel the proof is in the samples in my portfolio.

I love photography; it is my heartfelt passion and I take it very seriously. I feel photography is an art that comes from within; you have to put your heart in it to make something happen with it.
